Ms. Jones is a wealth planning attorney, concentrating in domestic and international tax, trusts, and estates for high and ultra-high net worth families and family offices.
Over the years, she has advised domestic and international clients on a wide range of tax and estate planning matters, including U.S. gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, charitable giving, foreign trusts, pre-immigration and expatriation planning, structuring inbound and outbound investments, and U.S. tax and information reporting. She also has extensive experience advising clients on compliance with the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) and the OECD’s Common Reporting Standard (“CRS”).
Prior to joining Perelson Weiner, Ms. Jones practiced tax, trusts, and estates at law firms in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. She also served as a Fellow at the Legal Information Institute and Editor-in-Chief of the Legal Information Institute Supreme Court Bulletin, both at Cornell Law School.
Lauren has published articles in STEP Journal, International Law Office, and the Legal Information Institute Supreme Court Bulletin.
Ms. Jones is a graduate of Cornell Law School and Harvard College, cum laude. She is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
